Our Cars

Available to you are two beautiful open top classics in left hand drive so as to make your continental driving experience easy and memorable.

MERCEDES 350 SL

First we have a 350 SL Mercedes auto convertible in gleaming red.

The SL is regarded by many as the perfect open top cruising machine, with justification. Ours is a 1971 car which we believe was one of the first 107 series cars supplied into France as a Show car. Her age and chassis number (45) seem to support this.

From a main dealer on the south coast of France she was released to a gentleman in Nice who nurtured her for 30 years. When he passed away his wife reluctantly sold her to a Mercedes enthusiast in Orleans who after much deliberation allowed us to purchase her.

She has a mohair hood with Fondmetal alloys and she really turns heads. The V8 3.5 litre SL is deemed to be the best car Mercedes produced at that time.

She is easy to drive, has power in reserve and handles like a dream. You just don’t want to get out of her!

Due to her age, she is devoid of some of the 'extras' found on modern cars. Windows are wind down, (this really puts you in the “classic” frame of mind), there is no air conditioning (although dropping the soft top is a much better option) but she does have an automatic gear box, PAS and power brakes to make an easy driving experience.

FIAT 124 SPIDER

Our other beauty could be described as at the other end of the classic spectrum. She is an out and out sports car from the 1970’s. Our cherry red Pininfarina designed Fiat 124 Spider is a real drivers car. She has the (most preferred and now very rare) 1800cc DOHC engine, and was built in 1976.

After 20 years residing in Virginia Beach USA, she was taken to the UK by renowned Spider specialists DTR Racing who prepared her to European specifications. From there she was acquired by an enthusiast in England who cared for her for 12 years until we acquired her with 20,000 miles on the clock!

For true classic car enthusiasts, (and particularly my wife who loves this car!) she is a dream come true. She is great fun, easy to drive and always admired. With bodywork designed by Pininfarina and engine by ex Ferrari chief engineer Lampredi, this model is often said to be “the baby Ferrari that should have been”. We could not disagree.

To many, your car will be the most important aspect of your stay, and you will not be disappointed!
