Bikes
We supply complimentary mountain bikes for you to use to discover the area we love. There are many purpose built trails around us for the serious or the leisurely.
We have picturesque lakes less than half a mile from us surrounded by many beautiful walks and bike trails, and the famous leisure complex at Brossac is only a short bike ride away with its restaurant, swimming lake, beach and leisure activities.
Water Sports
We have canoeing on one of the most picturesque rivers in France, jet skiing or swimming in private lakes all just a few minutes from us.
Half an hour leisurely drive brings you to the medieval town of Jonzac which boasts a fantastic indoor – outdoor swimming and leisure complex, where it is easy to spend a full day relaxing. You can even stay on for the evening in the Casino and enjoy wining and dining, a show and a small flutter.
Flying
We have a flying club just 2km from us which offers flying lessons at all levels and scenic flights.
Fishing
We have many well stocks lakes and rivers nearby and would be happy to arrange fishing permits for you and the hire of equipment.
Wine Tours
The South West of France is renowned for producing some of the best wines in the world, so why not take the opportunity to learn about wine making from the experts, and try some of the vintages on offer.
We can organise itineraries to include vineyard, chateau and cave visits.
There are many wine schools in our area where you can learn how to appreciate wines at their best. We can book you for an experience from which you will forever profit.
We can even arrange to ship wine back to your home if so desired.
Wining and Dining
We are spoilt in having some great restaurants, from excellent value traditional French through to the best gastronomic delights all close by. For that special occasion, why not visit our Chateau Restaurant which is only 5km away and regarded as one of the best restaurants in our area. We can make reservations for you and even arrange transport.
For a typical French lunch the Poirier at Bardenac is unbeatable. Lunch consists of no less than 8 courses with wine and coffee included for 12.50€. Just make sure you leave yourself a good couple of hours and don’t plan too much activity afterwards.

Within our area there are an abundance of festivals and events throughout the year covering music, literature and sport to name but a few.
